Images from an Insight Vacations Great Western American Adventure 16 day trip in September October 2O12, with tour director, Larry Womack at the helm.

A combination of 2 tours - Tour 1 - Best of California commencing in San Francisco and finishing in Los Angeles.

Tour 2 - Enchanting Canyonlands commencing in Scottsdale and finishing in Las Vegas.

The two tours combined are called - The Great Western American Adventure

The tour proved a fantastic way to see so much of the western United States in the time available, while at the same time being expertly informed by tour director, Larry Womack. Larry is a former newspaper man who has lived and worked in California and other western states throughout his life. His incredible knowledge of the landscapes, history and culture, not to mention his organisational skills, both educated and made the tour progress without incident with every day bringing a new and amazing landscape or cultural experience.

If you don't mind getting up early and sometimes to bed late, meeting nice people, enjoying a wine on the Napa Valley Wine Train, visiting Hearst Castle, Monterey and Santa Barbara, taking helicopter and hot air balloon flights, rafting the Colorado River or being spellbound by the awesomeness of the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Bryce Canyon, Sedona, Painted Desert, Monument Valley and Zion National Park then this is the trip for you.
Of course if scenery is not your thing there is always Los Angeles, Hollywood and Las Vegas to wet your appetite.
