Sefton Cottage and its beautiful garden are situated at the end of Church Lane. Towering eucalypts, pine, cypress a large variety of maples and temperate rainforest shelter a diverse collection of cool climate plants, and unusual bulbs. A myriad of tones of red, russet and gold delight the eye in autumn. Chestnuts and walnuts are laden with fruit. Take a picnic or enjoy delicious teas in this gorgeous setting. Unfortunately we arrived fairly late to Sefton Cottage after being directed there when we asked where we could buy some lunch. Lis Gow could not have been more hospitable and showed us her home while she prepared tea and scones. Hopefully it will be possible at some stage in the near future to get some better images of Sefton Cottage and gardens.
