The walk from Wategos Beach to the Cape Byron lighthouse is not to be missed on a visit to Byron Bay.
Great views over Wategos,Little Wategos,Julian Rocks and over the most easterly point in Australia can be had.
The views from the track to the lighthouse are stunning.
The annual whale migration from June to October can be also be seen from various points along the steeply rising, but well formed track.
Wategos Beach is now favoured by the wealthy as a place to live with property values among the highest in Australia, and it is not hard to see why, nestled between Palm Valley and the headland on pretty Wategos Beach.
NOTE
Other galleries in in this group and in the Sunsets Group contain more detailed images of the lighthouse.
