2011 - Sydney Opera House - Vivid Sydney Festival of Music Light and Ideas

June 3rd 2011

Parisian light artists, Superbien, have been contracted to brighten the sails of the Opera House, as part of the Vivid Lights Festival, a festival now in its 3rd year and designed to present Sydney as a creative, vibrant city.
Highlights of the lightshow include alien-like floating jellyfish projected on to the sails of the Sydney Opera House. Additionally many buildings in the harbour precinct other than the Opera House are also bathed in artistically created coloured lights and a plethora of associated music and cultural performances add depth and interest to the annual festival.
Over 40 light sculptures, 25 of them created by Mary-Anne Kyriakou and produced by AGB Events also contribute significantly to the Vivid Lights Sydney event in 2011.
Associated musical entertainment includes - 'Bat For Lashes' at the Opera House.
The Vivid Sydney Festival of Music Light and Ideas commenced on May 27 and ran every night from 6.00pm until to June 13th 2011.
