Nimbin is a small rural community that has achieved iconic status in Australia as the centre of a vast array of alternative lifestyle movements.In its heyday in the 60's Nimbin offered hope for a whole group of people dissatisfied with elements of the world as they saw it.
Numerous communes and various social experiments later Nimbin still attracts its share of lost souls.
Just a short drive out of Nimbin via The Channon is Protestors Falls,an idyllic waterfall in the Nightcap National Park in the hinterland of Byron Bay and the Tweed Coast.
