After over 16 years in the construction phase on Friday 14th March 2014 the 37 foot catamaran - Naurvoo was finally readied for its exit strategy when a team of roller door professionals removed the two large rollers doors and the remaining front panels of the shed in which it had been housed all those years.
On Saturday 15th March 2014 NAURVOO with the help of a team of around 8 workers made its way, inch by inch on koppers log rollers, under tow from 2 come-along winches out of the large shed that had housed it for so many years.
The process all went pretty smoothly with just a few minor tracking problems which were easily dealt with.
The boat now rests outside the shed on two concrete runways and awaits a decision as to when the crane and truck can be co-oordinated on a suitable date to enable moving the boat to the Wallamba River.
The boat was put to the test the very next day when it was forced to endure a brief but turbulent storm with very strong winds.
