While I was shooting images of the stranded Pasha Bulker on Nobbys beach breakwall on 21st June 2007, the day before salvage lockdown, I was enthralled by the storm cloud formations over the ships anchored off Newcastle awaiting coal loading access.
I turned around to look back over Stocton and Newcastle and was surprised to observe a stunningly unique sunset with whispy cloud draping down displaying the most unusual sunset I had seen in a long time.
You might like to also visit the "Pasher Bulker Revisited" gallery to see the storm clouds which were occurring simultaneously over the Pasha Bulker and further out to sea.
