Family : Myrtaceaebr/br/This plant is likely the most abundant woody weed on Norfolk Island where it proliferates particularly in the northern and eastern parts of Norfolk National Park forming dense stands. It was brought to the island on the First Fleet vessels which collected Guava seedlings in Brazil in 1787 prior to arrival in Australia in 1788.br/Normally growing to 6 metres, on Norfolk, Peter Coyne states, it can grow as big as 9 metres.
