These photos show the operation to remove the many and varied advanced palms by excavator, crane and semi trailer from Lot 6 Pacific Highway Failford to the Turner property on Wattley Hill Road near Bungwahl on the 13th and 14th December 2006 with just one day remaining before Max and June vacated possession to the RTA who have acquired the land for the purposes of future construction of the south bound Pacific Highway freeway.
The new owners have made every conceivable effort to ensure the successul transition of the palms and trees on the new site.
Max and June are delighted to see the palms saved from certain destruction once the freeway construction begins.
The last 4 shots taken in late March 2009 show the Roystonea regia (Cuban Royal), Bismarkia nobilis (Bismark Palm) ,Livistona australis (Cabbage palms) Wodyetia bifurcata (Foxtail Palm) Cassia fistula all in the ground at the new site.
Max was very pleased to see the palms all doing so well.
