Thone River, Comboyne - Lophozonia moorei, Nothofagus moorei
This was the first site we visited on a branch creek flowing in to the Thone River. There was just a single copicing clump of fairly large trees here on the top edge of the creek bank. This stand was within a couple metres of a barb wire fence and about 3-4 metres from the creek. There appeared to be seedlings establishing. On the northern side of the barbed wire fence was cleared land with cattle grazing. This tree is clump of trees is in a precarious position and needs further protection.
