Award of Life Membership to Alan Wright by Helen Duggan Dec 2016

Great Lakes Historical Society, based in Capel St Tuncurry, NSW held a special Museum Awards Ceremony on Friday 2nd December 2016 in the Museum grounds.
The presentations were made by Helen Duggan (President) and Anne Masters (Secretary).
Bob Mann was recognised for services to the museum for his work in maintaining the museum gardens with a dedication of the museum garden to him. Bob has also been an active long term researcher on various subjects for the museum.
Next dedication was to Max Wright, for services to the museum for his long term work in establishing and maintaining the museums Machinery Shed Displays. 'Max's Sheds' are truly the envy of many other museums.
June Wright, a life member and former long time Secretary of the museum was recognised for her work in research, classification and her authorship of many publications and books about the history of the Great Lakes. June was honoured by having the main display room named after her as 'June's Room'.
Last of the recognition awards was to long term President and Treasurer, Alan Wright for his selfless dedication to all things museum.
Alan was awarded Life Membership.
All the individuals awarded have been long term stalwarts of the museum and it was pleasing to see their dedication recognised in perpetuity.
