Milton Park Bowral was purchased by Anthony Hordern of Australianretailing fame in 1910 and with the aid of design assistance from theEnglish School of Landscape Design Hordern's wife Mary designed anddeveloped this magnificent Australian garden into a truly world classprivate garden,being ranked in 1983 as one of the best private gardensin the world.
The property passed out of the Hordern family's handsin 1961 and since then has been extensively renovated as a conferencecentre and hotel by several different owners.
The garden is only open for 2 weeks in October each year.
