These images of the aftermath of very heavy rain overnight were taken by Sandii and a German friend Lothar who was looking after our property while we were away.
The treated pine timbers were stacked ready for bridge construction and were widely dispersed along the creek line.
This type of flooding event occurs usually 2-3 times per year with the most serious consequences being erosion, gravel deposition in the creek from upstream properties together with siltation of waterholes, trees falling over due to saturated soil, isolated damage to young trees and denudation of important mulch layers in the forest.
