Quorn Railway Station January 2009
"The Quorn railway station is an item of immense historical significance because of its identification with the building of the Great Northern Railway north of Port Augusta, reflecting the optimism and industry of the late nineteenth century. Quorn later became an important junction station once it was connected with the South Australian network by means of a narrow gauge link with Peterborough...and later an important town on the transcontinental network. It became one of South Australia's premier railway towns, and this importance is reflected in the unique design and fine detailing of the railway station which is prominent in the town."
