Removing the Former Log Home of The Native Bees
In order that the bees will stay in the two newly created box hives the old nesting log needed to be taken away some distance away so as to prevent the bees re-establishing their nest there again.
The two new hives were placed right near where the original log was located. The native bees wasted no time flying to the new hives. It was only a week before they had filled out the hive box with new wax comb.
